I am passionate about...

Storytelling. It has always been something I have loved to do beginning in high school with writing and has carried over into video production. Whether it's a four-minute feature telling the story of a NASCAR driver to assisting with the production of a live event, I have found what I truly love to do. There's something about taking all of these different peices - camera angles, soundbites, story lines, talent, highlight reels - and putting them together to make a compelling story that engages audiences. Over the past three years I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business as a Production Assistant at Intersport Television and the Freelance work I did with ESPN, CBS, and the Big Ten Network. I am constantly looking for new opportunities where I can make an immediate impact and continue to expand on my skill set as I expand my career.

As a competitive swimmer for 16 years...

giving up has never been an option. The only option has been to give it my all. The further I got into studying Broadcast Journalism and my college career, the more and more I wanted to be involved with the sports media industry. I took every opportunity I could to continue growing my skill set and connecting with top professionals. As a Production Assistant at Intersport Television I have gained invaluable experience from writing scripts, editing video, organizing footage, creating highlight selects, logging and transcribing footage, preparing and assisting with shoots. Previously, I have worked live-events with ESPN, CBS, and the Big Ten Network in the production truck. I worked all of the home football games as Parabolic Microphone Operator and Runner. I also worked a volleyball game and the Big Ten Championships for gymnastics as a spotter. In addition, I have worked with Penn State's Athletic Department covering a variety of sports (swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, and golf).

No matter what...

I will always be a true team player. Through my experiences within the industry and after competing on a Division I team, I have learned the value of being a team player both in athletics and in the work field. If a project needs to get done on a tight deadline or someone needs an extra hand, I have learned how to manage my time efficiently and how to help those around me in any way that I can. Working in the field, I have also learned the importance of communication while working on a team and how critical it is. Attention to detail requires strong communication to ensure the content going out will be a success.
